Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SiteMetrics (“the Service”), operated by Staq Tools (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SiteMetrics is a monitoring dashboard that estimates GBHours usage and costs for Appwrite Sites projects. The Service connects to your Appwrite project using an API key you provide and displays usage data derived from Appwrite’s logs and deployment APIs.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Free Trial and Subscription

  • New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features.
  • No credit card is required during the trial period.
  • After the trial expires, a paid subscription ($9/month) is required to continue accessing the dashboard.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through PayPal and auto-renew until cancelled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect immediately.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5. Appwrite API Key Usage

  • You are solely responsible for the security of the Appwrite API keys you provide to SiteMetrics.
  • We recommend creating a dedicated API key with read-only Sites permissions for use with SiteMetrics.
  • We store your API key encrypted at rest and use it solely to fetch usage data on your behalf.
  • We are not responsible for any actions taken on your Appwrite project as a result of compromised API keys that were not caused by a breach of our systems.
  • You may disconnect your project and revoke your stored API key at any time from the Settings page.

6. Accuracy of Data

GBHours estimates provided by SiteMetrics are approximations derived from Appwrite’s request logs and site specifications. Actual billing from Appwrite may differ by 5–15% due to container overhead, cold starts, and other factors not visible in logs. SiteMetrics is a monitoring tool, not a billing replacement. Always refer to your Appwrite console for official usage figures.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service.
  • Share your account or credentials with third parties.
  • Interfere with other users’ access to the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Staq Tools and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your usage data remains your property. We claim no ownership over data fetched from your Appwrite project.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAQ TOOLS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time from the Settings page.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
